DHS Announces New I9 Regulations

The Department Of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently issued its final rule amending regulations related to electronic I-9 forms. The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 22, 2010 and takes effect on August 23, 2010. There is some confusion related to the new regulations, and failure to adhere to all I9 rules and regulations can result in significant penalties and fines.
